By 2030, the number of deaths in France will reach 650,000 per year. Cremation, which currently accounts for 51% of funerals, is projected to increase from 208,000 in 2020 to 331,000 in 2030. Cremation rates (2011 figures) vary across Europe, from 25% in Spain to 85% in Switzerland, representing 1,620,000 cremations.

In France, the choice to scatter ashes will triple by 2030, increasing from 41,100 to 124,000 scatterings per year.
